These funds have empowered Atlas Broadband to extend high-speed internet access to the councils of Rogers, Tulsa, Osage, and Nowata. As stated by Biljana Mapes, Atlas's spokesperson, this project provides more than just connections; it facilitates communication, business growth, and essential services like emergency response.

This fiber internet expansion is part of a broader strategy by the Oklahoma Broadband Office to close the digital divide in rural Oklahoma. In total, eight major projects have been initiated, amounting to $34.2 million worth of infrastructural development which aims to bring high-speed connectivity to 2,135 locations statewide.
